But according to most nutritionists, we would have to eat twelve servings of fruits and vegetables a day to get the nutrients our bodies crave and need. Most individuals are eating fewer than two servings a day. According to the Centers for Disease Control Prevention, only 26 percent of the nation’s adults eat vegetables three or more times a day.
